OCTOBER 31, 2023 -- Public Schools of Saskatchewan will be recognizing public school student groups or classes that support citizenship or character building within their schools or community by providing annual Student Citizenship Awards. Student groups or classes at elementary and high school will be recognized for their contributions. There will be three $1,000 awards for Grades 1 to 8 and three $1,000 awards for Grades 9 to 12.

NOVEMBER 8, 2023 -- Remembrance Day is commemorated on November 11^th each year in Canada and marks the ceasefire on the Western Front in World War I in 1918. The armistice (peace agreement) between the Allies and Germany at Compiègne, France took effect at eleven o'clock in the morning—the eleventh hour of the eleventh day of the eleventh month.

On Remembrance Day, Canadians pause to honour the men and women who have served and continue to serve our country during times of war (First World War, Second World War and Korean War), conflict and peace.

Thom School Community Council Annual General Meeting will be held over Zoom on October 26th, 2021 at 6pm.  If you are interested in joining the meeting, contact the office and we will pass on the meeting code. All parents/guardians are welcome!

September 30 has been proclaimed by the Government of Canada as the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation. This recognition of the work of the Truth and Reconciliation Commission and formal acknowledgement and creation of a recognized day to honour First Nations, Métis and Inuit peoples is another step in the reconciliation process and in honouring of Treaties.
